Our office is conveniently located close to the Hulen Mall and is accessible via all major roads. Our friendly and competent staff is dedicated to patient comfort and quality care. We provide the best and latest in dental technology and treatment options.
We offer modern oral cancer screening test to detect early cancer. In addition to general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, we work with specialists in Periodontics (gum diseases), Implant dentistry, and Endodontics (root canal treatments), as well as other specialists.
Dr. Mita Desai
Dr. Mita Desai earned a DDS degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California in 2004. During her training in California, Dr. Desai was honored to receive awards for excellence in dental anatomy, outstanding dentistry, and patient oriented care. Prior to coming to the U.S, she earned a dental degree and worked as an Associate Dentist in a busy, private family dentistry practice in Mumbai, India.
Following dental school, Dr. Desai came to North Texas and worked as a general dentist in Richardson and Irving. When Dr. Chris Schmoker retired after practicing for more than 40 years, he entrusted Dr. Desai to continue providing excellent care for his patients. In 2008, Dr. Desai acquired the practice, and the entire staff stayed on to help her continue Dr. Schmoker’s legacy of patient-centered care. In fall of 2011, Dr. Desai also acquired the neighboring practice of Dr. William Barnes and merged the two practices to create a team of caring individuals who share a passion for taking care of patients.
Dr. Desai has long been deeply committed to service. She was an active participant in various camps organized by the Rotary and Lions Clubs in India, in which her parents serve as active leaders. Here in North Texas, Dr. Desai has participated in the mobile dental van program, providing preventive care including checkups, cleanings and sealants for children in schools around Dallas and Fort Worth.
Dr. Desai is fluent in English and Hindi and has added some Spanish to her repertoire since coming to Texas. She is a gifted communicator and enjoys developing a personal rapport with her patients, which helps her understand and meet each patient’s individual dental needs. When she is not in the office, Dr. Desai takes every opportunity to spend time with her husband who is a certified financial account and her beautiful daughter. A passionate learner, Dr. Desai also enjoys music, going to the movies, travelling and exercising.
Karen
Karen is our office manager, she has been in the dental field since 1995 and brings a lot of experience and expertise to our practice. Providing outstanding customer service is her primary objective and is here to help our patients.
Dale
Dale has been with our practice since 2014 and has over 15 years of experience as a dental hygienist. He is an extremely diligent worker, all our patients are getting to know him and are loving him. He loves educating patients on their oral health so that they can keep their smiles lifelong. Dale has been a resident of DFW for over 15 years. In his free time he and his wife enjoy fishing.
Margaret
Margaret is our dental hygienist since 2020 and has been in the career since 2017. Her purpose is to build relationships with patients and help them achieve a lifetime of dental health. Margaret moved to Fort Worth in 2020, outside of work she loves outdoor activities. Several of her favorite activities include hiking and exploring nature trails, camping and bike riding. Her favorite dental quote, “Let your smile change the world, but don’t let the world change your smile”.
Allison
Allison joined our team in 2025. She has been a dental hygienist since 2008. Born and raised in Georgia, she moved to Texas in 2008. She loves people and is very passionate about dental hygiene and helping her patients.
Jessica
Jessica has been with our practice since 2019 and has over 15 years of experience as a dental assistant. She has a lot of experience working with both adult and pediatric patients. Ensuring patient comfort and safety is her main goal, to make sure that each visit is most comfortable for our patients. She works closely with Dr Desai and assists her in all dental procedures.
Dr. Blanca Lemus
providing root canal services
Dr. Blanca Lemus has been with our practice since 2018. Dr. Lemus is a stand-out graduate of Marquette University College of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her post-graduate experience included a one-year intensive residency at the world-renown UCLA medical center.
Her experience includes over 20 years practicing general dentistry in community, state, and private institutions giving her a breadth of knowledge and experience rarely found in dentistry. Dr. Lemus skillfully provides endodontic services specializing in micro-precision utilizing the latest technology and techniques in the industry.
Dr Nate Nagavi
Board certified periodontist, providing dental implant services and gum surgical procedures.
Dr. Nagavi is a dedicated periodontist on our team. After practicing more than 15 years as an accomplished cosmetic dentist, he pursued an additional 3 years of specialty surgical training in periodontics and implantology at the University of Tennessee Advanced Periodontology Program to become a specialist in periodontal surgery and dental implants. He is also trained and certified to administer oral and intravenous (lV) moderate conscious sedation for our patients’ comfort and peace of mind.
As a skilled periodontal surgeon, he is committed to providing exceptional periodontal care, blending advanced surgical skills, extensive training, and genuine compassion to help his patients achieve optimal oral health in a calm, comfortable and caring environment.
